
Enactment supported by club goliath would permit club, sports betting in Texas Two Texas legislators on Tuesday documented enactment sponsored by the gaming domain Las Vegas Sands that would legitimize club betting in Texas. The enactment was documented by Rep. John Kuempel, R-Seguin, in the House and Sen. Tune Alvarado, D-Houston, in the Senate. Rep. Toni Rose, D-Dallas, was subsequently added as a joint creator on the House proposition. The recommendations would make unique club licenses for four "objective hotels" in the state's four biggest metropolitan regions: Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and Austin. Simultaneously, it would set up a Texas Gaming Commission to control the club, charge table games and gaming machines and independently legitimize sports wagering.
